As Driven Equipment Ltd continues to GROW we are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Technician’s for Shop and Field to become part of a team that provides top quality equipment repairs and service.

Shop position could be open to moving into a service truck if the applicant is well suited and willing. Field applicants will need to provide references and clean driving abstract.
Job Duties:
- Running repairs on off road construction equipment (dozers, graders, haul trucks, excavators, and motor scrapers etc.), diesel power systems, as well as on road truck and trailer services, on all makes and models.
- Ability to troubleshoot repairs with multiple platforms of diagnostics equipment such as but not limited to: CAT SIS/ET, JD Service Advisor, Cummins Insite, JPRO.
- Troubleshooting to detect faults and malfunctions, determining the extent of repairs required, adjusting equipment, and repairing or replacing defective parts for engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic and air conditioning.
- Complete preventive maintenance procedures and equipment inspections.
- Communicating and relaying information to customers in a professional manner.
- Ordering and researching parts necessary to complete services and repairs.
- Completion of detailed repair notes and repair order notes for each assigned job.
- Maintaining an organized and safe work area, tools, and service truck.
- Available to work from 7AM - 5PM, Monday to Friday. Overtime and occasional weekend hours may be necessary.
- Ability to travel for work on occasion.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with off road equipment.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a field/shop technician position.
- Must be a Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician. Journeyman Red Seal is preferred, will consider those with the option of challenging Red Seal within 6 months.
- Willingness to travel for work.
- Safety conscious.
- A positive outlook and passion for the industry is considered an asset.
- Physically fit and able to be successful in a demanding work environment.
- Self motivated.
- Able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Must have a valid class 5 drivers license and a clean drivers abstract.
- Provide own tooling - shop does provide all large tooling, diagnostic equipment, and specialty tooling.
- Preferred applicants will be a resident of Calgary or the surrounding area. Applicants from central Alberta (Olds, Penhold, Red Deer, etc.) will be considered.
Pay Structure:
- Permanent full-time position.
- $42hr to $50/hr (dependent on experience).
