Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Handyman/woman to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a proven track record in home repairs and maintenance, who is a self-starter and problem-solver, capable of working independently or leading projects. We are specifically looking for intermediate to senior professionals who can take charge of more complex tasks and bring expertise to every job.
In addition to performing carpentry, repair and maintenance tasks, this position may occasionally involve door-to-door outreach to meet potential clients and introduce our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform a wide range of Carpentry duties relating to general home maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Occasional door knocking to meet potential clients and introduce our services.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assist with project management tasks, such as helping with quotes and scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of carpentry experience.
- Proficiency in general handyman tasks (painting, caulking, drywall repair, etc.).
- Experience in job estimation, particularly for carpentry or maintenance work, is considered an asset.
- Proficient in English for effective communication
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Trade certification is a bonus but not a requirement
