This position blends strategic intelligence analysis with global travel security risk management, ensuring safe travel and robust situational awareness through prevention, detection, and response strategies. The specialist will research, assess, and monitor threats while developing mitigation protocols and supporting traveler safety before, during, and after their journeys.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct research, compile, collate, and analyze intelligence data to produce actionable threat assessments and reports.
  • Maintain and update the corporate security intelligence database and support baseline and dynamic Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs) for all locations.
  • Monitor open-source, dark web, and government intelligence channels for geopolitical, criminal, or health threats that may impact business continuity or traveler safety.

Travel Risk Management

  • Assess travel risks by evaluating crime rates, political instability, health hazards, environmental conditions, and infrastructure quality for global destinations.
  • Develop secure travel plans, including the vetting of accommodations, transportation, and itineraries, ensuring compliance with internal travel safety protocols.
  • Monitor international travel advisories and coordinate with local authorities and global security providers.

Contingency Planning & Incident Response

  • Design and maintain emergency action plans including medical evacuations, shelter-in-place strategies, and political unrest procedures.
  • Respond to travel-related incidents (e.g., natural disasters, medical emergencies, or criminal activity) and provide immediate support and coordination.
  • Document and analyze security incidents to enhance future travel protocols and intelligence briefings.

Internal Education & Communication

  • Produce weekly security digests and situation reports for distribution to executives and global staff.
  • Deliver training sessions or guidance materials on travel safety, cultural sensitivity, and personal security awareness.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, internal business units, and third-party partners to maintain threat awareness and crisis readiness.

Let's Talk About You:

  • 2–5 years of experience in corporate security, intelligence, travel risk management, or related fields.
  • Post-secondary education or formal training in intelligence, international relations, homeland security, or criminal justice.
  • Military, law enforcement, or government security/intelligence background is considered an asset.
  • Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, CTM, or GSOC analyst training are advantageous.
