The Opportunity:
Are you ready to bring your A game every day? Woola is on the hunt for a dedicated and driven Generator Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, emergency service, repair, and troubleshooting of backup generators for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.—we’re a team, and like any strong team, we know our success depends on each other.
What You’ll Tackle:
- Perform preventative maintenance, emergency service and repair of backup generators according to manufacturer specifications and CSA 282.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal generator performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with backup generators, including engine components, control systems, and automatic transfer switches.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific power requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Document all service activities, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
What You Bring:
- Experience: Journeyperson electrician or Heavy-duty mechanic, minimum 3 years experience as a generator technician or similar role, with expertise in backup generator service, maintenance, and repair.
- Certification: ASTTBC certification.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, voltage requirements, and electrical codes.
- Mechanical & Electrical Skills: Familiarity with diesel and natural gas engines, generator controls, and automatic transfer switches.
- Problem Solving Ability: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Driver Requirements: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Teamwork & Communication: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay: $55.00-$72.00 per hour depending on experience.
