What’s involved in this role:
The general worker is responsible for various activities related to warehousing, in an environment compliant with the food safety and where health & safety is of utmost importance.
- Picking up milk cases and stacking them in the refrigerated warehouse
- Cold Warehouse environment +4 degree Celsius
- Working/standing/walking on cement warehouse floor for entire duration of shift
What you need to join our team:
- Must be flexible and able to work various shifts - work days, afternoons, nights and weekends (Part Time entry status)
- Possible work of 24-38hrs/week Physically fit (able to lift 50+ pounds loads, work standing up for long periods of time, etc.)
- Be able to understand/speak/write English
- Previous warehousing/picking experience preferred
- Previous power equipment preferred (forklift/power jack) ​
- High school diploma is an asset
- Previous relevant experience in industrial or warehousing or production environment preferred
- Experience in the food / dairy industry an asset
- Safety and quality focused
- Quick-thinking problem solver
- Motivated to work as a team to meet goals
- Good communication skills
