Summing it up

The General Manager will oversee daily operations across all departments—including guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance — ensuring seamless coordination and top-tier service. Responsibilities include managing budgets, driving revenue growth, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and cultivating a positive team culture.


Success in this role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of hospitality trends and guest expectations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manager with excellent communication skills, a commitment to quality, and a proven ability to inspire and motivate staff.


What you'll be doing

  • Direct operation of the hotel to drive revenue, manage costs and maintain quality standards.
  • Lead the property as its brand & culture ambassador and create an environment where team members feel inspired and engaged.
  • Develop the annual budget and sales & marketing plan while ensuring the budget goals in all departments are attained.
  • Shape customer feedback to be constructive and provide strategic direction to continuously improve overall ratings.
  • Be active in local community organizations.
  • Embody leadership by setting performance goals for employees, hands-on coaching & support. Innovate & reward those high achievers.

Who you are

  • You have 5+ years experience as a leader in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strata title resort experience considered an asset.
  • A desire to continue learning with an understanding of hotel management practices, relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Computer proficiency, you’re competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • The safety and well-being of your team is important to you and you can act in emergency situations.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • You have strong working knowledge of property management systems and other industry software.
