Job Overview
The General Manager is the driving force behind the success and culture of their assigned location(s); according to set goals and business objectives. With a balance of entrepreneurial spirit and strong operational expertise, this role is accountable for overall profitability, compliance, and team leadership. The General Manager will cultivate a guest-first environment, shift culture through empowerment, and align daily operations with long-term business strategy.
This role requires a leader who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and has experience working within unionized environments, ensuring collaboration, fairness, and respect are at the core of team engagement whilst aligning with business strategy. All General Managers are expected to be stewards of compliance and education leading by example, providing education, and reinforcing company standards.

Job Duties
Leadership & Culture

Guest Experience & Sales
- Champion a guest-first culture, ensuring all customer interactions are welcoming, informed, and compliant.
- Implement business strategies to grow sales, expand market presence, and enhance brand reputation.
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback, ensuring service excellence.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulations.
- Lead inventory management, pricing, product presentation, and seasonal merchandising.
- Ensure health, safety, and security standards are met at all times.
- Review financial performance, manage expenditures, and drive profitability.
- Oversee banking, reconciliations, and reporting of sales and operations.
Strategic Impact
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align local operations with corporate strategy.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement innovative solutions.
- Act as a brand ambassador in the community, promoting business growth and strong relationships.
Education, Training and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in the retail industry.
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment.
- Proven experience leading within a unionized environment and labour relations management.
- Provide Basical Criminal Background check.
- Provincial Cannabis Certification – Smart Choices
Working Conditions
- Some travel may be required.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Overtime as required.
