Alberta Building Maintenance has been servicing the restaurant industry for over 30 years. Our company cleans and services kitchen exhaust systems to remove grease and other flammable material.
Previous experience is not required to be a successful member of our team; training is provided on the job. New employees will be given all basic equipment and PPE required to safely complete the job.
After the probationary period is completed, employees who wish to advance in the company are offered an opportunity to become certified technicians through the Phil Ackland Certification course.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Cleaning kitchen exhaust systems using de-greasers, scrapers and high pressure washers.
- Power washing the outside of buildings, awnings, and sidewalks.
- Servicing and vacuuming out grease traps.
- Using company vehicles to drive to and from job sites.
- Mop-up, and wipe down of job sites.
- Basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Ability to work on ladders and at heights
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are currently looking to train new laborers with no prior experience however, we will give applicants who have a background working in kitchens or as laborers a first priority.
WE FAVOR APPLICANTS WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
- Able to work on ladders and at heights
- Able to lift 50Kg
- Knowledge of power equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
APPLICANT MUST HAVE:
- Clear criminal record (many of our customers require this)
- Clean drivers abstract (minor infractions are not an issue)
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Vehicle to get to and from work

Please consider:
- Starting wage for new employee’s $22/hr.
- Current position is OVERNIGHT shift.
- Sunday - Thursday.
- Start times can range anywhere between 6:00pm - 11:59pm
- Shifts can range anywhere between 6 - 12 hours
