About the company:
Integra Castings is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Gray & Ductile iron foundry with the ability to melt, mold and core a wide variety of materials. We offer customized solutions for projects while maintaining the strictest quality assurance guidelines.
Role and responsibilities:
As a Furnace operator, you would be responsible for the Charging, Melting and Pouring of metals. This includes but is not limited to; Performing pre-shift inspections, calibration of scales, processing charge formulations and ensuring proper working procedures are followed to create consistent batches of material to be poured.
Qualifications and Success Factors :
- Highly self-motivated with the willingness to take initiative and grow within the company
- Energetic with a passion for chemistry and a drive to expand your knowledge base
- Ability to learn and follow Foundry specific manufacturing processes
- Mathematical skills are required
- Ability to manage the physical demands of the role, and operate effectively in a warm environment, without any disqualifying medical conditions that affect their safety
- Manufacturing principles, including continuous improvement is an asset
- Ability to Read and Write in English and follow direction with minimal supervision
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset
