Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Participate in catering events, providing exceptional service and meal preparation
- Uphold quality standards for food presentation and taste, ensuring guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in fine dining or catering settings
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Excellent knife skills and understanding of food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Previous experience in menu planning or serving is highly desirable
- A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests
