We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and team-oriented Front Shop Customer Service Representative to join our Yurek Pharmacy & Home Healthcare team in St. Thomas, Ontario.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Retail Sales Manager, the Front Shop Customer Service Representative (FS CSR) duties involve operating the POS System, serving customers in the store, or helping stock shelves. They must be able to communicate clearly and courteously with all customers and other staff and have a mature and cooperative attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acknowledges and greets all customers, maintaining a friendly attitude.
- Handles customers courteously, quickly, and efficiently. Calls for help when a lineup or delay occurs.
- Handles telephone inquiries quickly and courteously without ignoring in-store customers.
- Accurately records and handles cash transactions with a minimum of voids and errors.
- Develops and utilizes selling techniques and closing companion sales.
- Uses tact and courtesy when dealing with difficult customers and refers them to management if a problem cannot be resolved.
- Assists customers with products outside the department and is knowledgeable about all in-store promotions. Keeps other staff aware of promotions.
- Suggests methods and systems for measuring and improving the department’s service levels.
- Pays attention to store security and follows store policy regarding shoplifters.
- Learns and utilizes proper merchandising techniques, including product placement, stock rotation, and facing. Maintains specific sections as allocated.
- Carries out housekeeping duties, ensuring the store is clean, neat, and professional-looking.
- Fills stock from the back room to ensure shelves are adequately stocked.
- Supports other departments within the store, including:
- Delivery
- HomeHealth
- Receiving
- Keeps checkouts stocked, neat, and clean.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of High School diploma or equivalent
- Some cashier or retail experience is preferred.
- Mature, well organized and cooperative attitude.
- Neat and well-groomed image.
- Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with customers and co-workers.
- Develop an understanding of Finestra POS system.
- Flexibility to work all shifts including days, evening, weekends and holidays according to the business need is required.
