Job Summary:
We're looking for a friendly and detail-driven Front Desk Clerk / Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. If you’re a natural communicator who thrives in quiet hours and values precision, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in guests with warmth and professionalism
- Assist with inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely manner
- Handle reservations and maintain accurate guest records using our hotel system
- Process payments securely and follow all cash-handling protocols
- Perform nightly audits and prepare end-of-day financial reports
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and stock supplies
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance as needed
- Monitor security systems to ensure overnight safety of guests and property
Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience in hospitality or front desk preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently and stay alert during night hours
- Highly organized with attention to detail—especially for audits
- Knowledge of front desk procedures and hospitality best practices

Wage:
- $18.60/HR
- Additional for night shifts
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.60-$21.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Nanaimo, BC V9S 1E3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
