We are seeking an energetic and hardworking Front Counter Sales Representative. This pivotal role involves directly assisting our HVAC contractor customers and other industry professionals with their product needs, ensuring they receive the correct parts and equipment promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers at the sales counter, providing prompt and courteous service.
- Listen attentively to customer requirements.
- Provide product information, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
- Process sales orders accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management systems.
- Handle various payment methods (cash, credit, account charges) and reconcile daily transactions.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to email inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, and orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales counter.
- Resolve customer issues, product returns, and complaints efficiently and professionally.
- Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure accurate inventory and smooth operations.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in a counter sales role an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with professional tradespeople.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including POS software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and handling cash.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and a team player.
- Familiarity with local market needs and common HVAC brands is a plus.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
