Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Framer to join our residential construction team. The Framer will be responsible for assembling the structural framework of homes, including walls, floors, and roofs, according to plans and codes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of wood framing techniques, safety procedures, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. The Framer will collaborate closely with our site supervisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of framing tasks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and building plans.
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and other materials to build walls, floors, and roof systems.
- Frame doorways, windows, stairs, and other house components.
- Install floor joists, trusses, rafters, and support beams.
- Ensure structures are level, plumb, and square.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as saws, nail guns, and levels safely and effectively.
- Follow local building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a framer or in residential construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and construction safety procedures.
- Proficient in the use of framing tools and equipment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
