Job Summary:
Gibson Farms is seeking a dependable and organized Forklift Driver to support our packing line operations and shipping team. This role plays a key part in maintaining product flow and accurate inventory tracking. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Line Feeding & Material Handling
- Operate a forklift to deliver cardboard, pallets, and packaging materials to the packing line as needed.
- Ensure consistent material flow to avoid downtime on the line.
- Safely move raw and finished goods between storage, packing, and shipping areas.
2. Inventory & Product Tagging
- Accurately create inventory entries for packed goods in the system, assigning the correct SKU, farm source, and pack date.
- Ensure product counts are correct and match production output.
- Print and apply proper pallet tags and inventory labels for traceability.
3. Shipping & Receiving
- Load outgoing shipments using the inventory system to track product by lot, farm, and order.
- Assist with receiving incoming goods (packaging materials, supplies, etc.).
- Confirm order accuracy against bills of lading and shipping documents.
4. General Support
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard.
- Support other warehouse and shipping staff during busy periods.
- Communicate with the packhouse team about any material shortages or inventory issues.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift license (counterbalance or equivalent) and proven experience.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
- Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems or scanners is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold storage environments.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Prior experience in fruit packing or agricultural operations is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly wage: $21/hour, based on experience and certification.
- Overtime opportunities during harvest season.
- Training and potential for advancement in logistics or QC.

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
