We’re looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, and food-obsessed storyteller to join our team as a Part-Time Foodie Tour Guide. You’ll lead small groups through Victoria’s vibrant food scene, sharing fascinating stories about the city’s history, culture, and culinary community. This role is perfect for someone who loves people, thrives in a dynamic environment, and knows (or is excited to learn about) the best eats in the city.
The Opportunity: Foodie Tour Guide $20/hour
Part Time: 8-10 hours hours per week
Must be available to work during weekends, and some evenings.

Responsibilities
- Lead walking food tours for groups of up to 16 guests, ensuring a welcoming and engaging experience.
- Share knowledge about local restaurants, chefs, and food trends, as well as Victoria’s history and culture.
- Keep tours running smoothly, on time, and in line with company standards.
- Represent Off The Eaten Track with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Communicate with partner restaurants and ensure smooth service during tour stops.
- Handle unexpected situations with a cool head and a smile.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Passion for food, dining, and local culinary culture (bonus if you know the Victoria food scene well).
- Outstanding communication and public speaking skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to connect with diverse groups of people.
- Comfortable walking outdoors for 2–3 hours in various weather conditions.
- Highly reliable and punctual.
- Flexible schedule — tours often run on weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
- Previous tour guiding, hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset, but not required — we’ll train the right foodie!
- Access to a mobile phone with local data.
- Aged 19 and over.
Training
We’ll make sure you get everything you need to be successful in your role as a foodie tour guide. Training will be paid and last approximately 2 weeks. And yes, you get to eat on the job!
