Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the food service department, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, cooking, and customer service.
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and ensure proper stock levels.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling.
- Implement food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the department to optimize resources.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in food service management or supervisory roles within quick service, casual dining, or fine dining environments.
- Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food production techniques and catering services.
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices including shift management, staff training, and development.
- Background in hospitality management or hotel experience is preferred.
- Experience with budgeting, inventory control, and financial oversight within the food industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
