Job Title: Flagger
* Valid G Drivers License is required *
* Ontario Traffic Manual - Book 7 certified is preferred *
Duties:
- Direct traffic and ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists in construction zones
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades
- Communicate effectively with team members and drivers to maintain a smooth flow of traffic
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
- Monitor work areas for any potential hazards or issues
- Report any incidents or violations to supervisors or law enforcement as necessary
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively direct traffic and interact with team members and drivers
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of traffic control devices
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures
