Position Scope
BFI is looking for a Finish Excavator Operator to join our team at Syncrude.
Site: Syncrude
Project: E24018 - Firewater
Hourly Rate: $43.38
Shift schedule: 10 days on 4 days off
Accommodations: Camp provided
Experience Required:
- Finish excavator operator experience
- Read and understand grade stakes and cut within 1cm, use of twist buckets and pulling slopes
Additional Comments:
- Successful candidates will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955
- Benefits and pension are provided through Local 955
- Working in congested work areas and use of spotters
- Clean shaven and nomex required in alot of the work areas
All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness - Energy Safety Canada only
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Ground Disturbance 201 (Level 2)
- Valid class 5 Driver's License
- Drivers abstract - must be a minimum of 3 years and within 30 days
- Other certification may be required based on site requirements
Successful candidates must:
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- Fit for Work Test
- Vision Test
Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
