Financial Services Representative (Permanent, Full-time)
Location: Kingston, ON
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday
Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience
As a Financial Services Representative, you will:
- Specialize in retail lending, recommending solutions which will enable our members to achieve their personal financial objectives.
- Anticipate and determine the needs of members. Transact request or refer the member to the suitable service area.
- Conduct interviews (personal loans, lines-of-credit and mortgages), complete document/application preparation and credit analysis.
- Approve or decline credit applications that are within assigned lending limits; or make a recommendation to the applicable Manager/Lender for approval or decline of credit applications not within assigned lending limits.
- Provide needs-based advice, counselling members on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management and investment/retirement planning.
- Identify opportunities to generate sales and new members.
- Monitor the renewal of maturing investments, mortgages and loans. Ensure members receive appropriate notice, advising of alternative options and assist with renewals.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members by providing excellent member service.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or financial planning would be an asset
- A minimum of two years’ comprehensive experience in consumer lending
- Advanced member service and sales skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Mutual Funds License, active and in good standing
- Willingness to complete additional educational components as required
