Manufacturing/Field Technician
Location: Ottawa, ON
Travel: Frequent travel within Canada and occasional travel to the U.S. (expenses reimbursed)
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing/Field Technician to join our team. This role combines hands-on equipment assembly with field service support for our chemical recycling systems. You’ll work in-house to build and test mechanical assemblies, and in the field to install, maintain, and troubleshoot machines at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical equipment, pipe fittings, tubing, and panels using technical drawings and tools.
- Perform quality checks, inspections, and testing of finished products.
- Install machines at customer sites, ensuring proper setup and training.
- Conduct routine maintenance, identify issues, and carry out repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols and promote a safety-first approach.
Requirements:
- High school diploma (technical certification an asset).
- Experience in field service, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid passport, driver’s license, and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
