We are seeking a compassionate and professional female Patient Chaperone volunteer to join our ultrasound clinic team. The successful candidate will provide essential support and comfort to patients during ultrasound examinations, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional chaperoning services during ultrasound examinations
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and privacy throughout procedures
- Maintain a calm and reassuring presence during examinations
- Follow all clinic protocols and infection control procedures
- Support clinic operations and patient flow
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with healthcare privacy regulations
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in healthcare or patient care preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work sensitively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Fluency in English; additional languages an asset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical imaging or ultrasound environment
- Understanding of patient privacy laws (PHIPA)
