We're currently hiring three (3) Mould Technicians to join our Seaforth production team.
What You'll Do
As a Fabrication & Moulds Technician, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of moulds used in production. This includes skilled and semi-skilled work in welding, carpentry, and assembling parts to ensure production runs smoothly.
Days: 7:00 am-5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry and some welding to fabricate and assemble parts for moulds.
- Cut, shape, and fit materials according to shop drawings and written instructions.
- Assemble parts and components using appropriate methods, such as welding or fastening, to form the final mould.
- Use a crane and forklift to move and position heavy moulds within the plant.
- Ensure moulds are set up correctly and maintained in good condition.
- Report material needs to the Plant Manager/Production Coordinator promptly.
- Fabricate moulds to meet specific guidelines and tolerances.
- Participate in CAR (Corrective Action Request) teams and support projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and construction documents.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Welding experience (Mig or Arc).
- Proficient in basic arithmetic and measurement (Metric and Imperial units).
- Ability to rig, hoist, and move materials or moulds using cranes and forklifts.
- Capable of working independently and within a team environment.
- Proactive and able to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities.
