We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering and repairing clothing to meet the specific needs of our clients, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform alterations on garments, including hemming, taking in/out seams, and adjusting fit as per customer specifications.
- Execute repairs on clothing items, such as patching holes or replacing zippers.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on garment modifications.
- Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to achieve precise alterations.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
- Keep accurate records of customer orders and alterations completed.
- Stay updated on current fashion trends and techniques in garment construction.
Skills
- Proficient in using sewing machines and various hand-sewing techniques.
- Strong understanding of garment construction principles.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to alterations.
- Previous experience in fashion retail is a plus but not mandatory.
