Job Description:
We are currently seeking additional experienced fitters to join our Edmonton facility’s team. As a fitter with Norfab you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and materials.
We operate a permanent day and night shift. Day shift is Monday-Friday, 44 hours each week. Night shift is Monday-Thursday, 44 hours each week. There is also a premium rate for nights. Both day and night shift positions are available. Also, overtime opportunities are often available on Saturdays for any employee interested in additional income.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Assemble components using various tools and equipment, including power tools and welding rigs.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards.
Experience
- Journeyman Plate Fitter and/or Journeyman Welder a strong asset but not required.
- Extensive fitting experience required.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics is required.
- Familiarity with use of power tools and welders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills
