Job Description:
Silverwood’s Bar & Lounge is looking for dedicated cooks to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards. Some responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other cooks as needed. You should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.
To be successful as a cook, you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our customers’ expectations. Ultimately, a top-notch cook should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality.
Responsabilities:
- Preparing exemplary meals for our customers.
- Weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes.
- Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arranging and garnishing dishes.
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
- Working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Helping lead and inspire our kitchen staff along with management.
- Ensuring compliance with federal & provincial liquor and food safety regulations.
- Ensuring that the kitchen, equipment, and utensils are cleaned & sanitized.
- Adhering to all current COVID-19 protocols.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$23.00 per hour
