We are currently seeking a skilled gardener to join our team, and help finish off the 2025 season.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong horticultural background who thrives working outdoors and takes pride in their work. You'll play a key role in caring for residential gardens in South Calgary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Identification:
Confidently identify a wide range of perennials, annuals, shrubs, and ornamental trees.
- Spring & Fall Clean-Ups:
Execute thorough seasonal transitions including cutting back, perennial division, mulching. As we near the end of the season, this candidate must be able to execute a fall cleanup.
- Pruning:
Skillfully prune a variety of shrubs.
- General Garden Maintenance:
Weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly visits to client properties for weeding, raking, cultivating, pruning, edging, deadheading, and pest/disease monitoring.
- Client-Focused Care:
Understand garden design intent and care for each space with detail, creativity, and attention to continuity. Professionalism and respect in client interactions is key.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 -3 years of professional gardening or horticulture experience
- Strong plant I.D. and seasonal care knowledge
- Solid understanding of pruning techniques for various shrubs
- Ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to job sites or crew meet-up location
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Formal horticulture training or Master Gardener certification is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a work truck when needed.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
