Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled/experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries in a friendly manner.
- Support orthodontic and pediatric procedures as required.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and place orders when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software is preferred.
- Experience in orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
- The ability to operate CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems for dental applications is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
