One Bite Technology (St. Albert) is a small, locally owned, consumer driven break/fix repair shop. We specialize in Apple, but service closer to 60% Windows based devices! We also perform occasional remote and on-site service for consumers and businesses.

You an experienced and confident computer tech, ready to hit the ground running, but not afraid to learn something new (like Apple repairs, or phones... or robot vacuums!), and open to learning a different way to do things (we're constantly striving for better efficiency).
You are punctual, and have an impeccable attendance record. You have your own reliable transportation (available daily to attend consumer and business onsite appointments), and easy access to St. Albert.
You are dedicated and proud of the work you do. You are fast and efficient, but maintain the best quality work, better than any competitor in the market. Your attention to detail helps you catch mistakes, missed diagnostics, and issues not mentioned (or often not understood) by the customer.
You are experienced in a wide range of both hardware and software troubleshooting and repairs for Windows computers. You have direct experience with things like Battery replacements (and subsequent steps), LCD replacements, thermal paste & pad replacement (including gaming laptops), keyboard replacements, Solid State Drive upgrades (from MBR to GPT, from HDD to NVME), Windows BSOD and other error troubleshooting, data migration and data recovery (software), Networking issues, wifi & printer connectivity issues, Windows user account issues, and more.
Your written and spoken english is excellent, and you pride yourself on professionalism, detailed notes, and attention to detail when it comes to listening to customers, recording important information, and communicating with clients and coworkers.
Our technicians are responsible for diagnosing, building an estimate/quote, obtaining approval from the customer, and then repairing the devices. We work on computers (Mac & PC), cell phones (mostly iPhones, some Samsung, Motorola, and others), and other electronics (robot vacuums, circuit boards, and more).
This role requires specific previous experience relevant to our services, a strong understanding of both hardware components and software troubleshooting, as well as the ability to provide excellent customer service in a retail environment. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues on computers running MacOS and Windows.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues on mobile devices running iOS, Android.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers book in repair tickets, including occasional retail sales.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and inventory management.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in mobile and desktop devices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience, in a professional environment, of software and hardware troubleshooting and repairs for Windows based computers is absolutely required.
- Familiarity with computer software and hardware components is required.
- Experience in retail sales or customer service is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to mobile device repair is advantageous.
- A strong understanding of various operating systems, including iOS, Android, and Windows, is essential.
