Join a professional, locally respected team at Lakeside Paving. We are currently hiring an experienced Asphalt Rakerman to join our paving crew for the 2025 season.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled individual who takes pride in quality work, enjoys working outdoors, and wants reliable, local employment in Kelowna. Our projects are all in-town, meaning no out-of-town travel and you’re home every night.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rake, lute, and finish hot mix asphalt to specified grade and smoothness
- Assist with prep work, paving operations, and job site clean-up
- Operate skid steer and other small equipment such as plate tamper, roller, cut off saw.
- Work collaboratively with the crew to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with asphalt in a rakerman/luteman role
- Skilled in hand raking, grading, and finishing asphalt surfaces
- Skid steer operation experience is preferred
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or trailer endorsement is an asset)
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a team
