We seek a skilled and reliable Excavator and Skid Steer Operator to join our dynamic team.


Job Description:
We are looking for a versatile, hardworking individual to fill the Excavator and Skidsteer Operator role for Landscaping and Pool construction. The successful candidate will drive and operate a truck and trailer, along with a skid steer and/or excavator, for different types of landscaping and pool construction tasks. Physical labour will be required to support our landscape and pool projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a truck and trailer with excavator/skid steer to transport equipment, materials, and personnel to and from job sites.

  • Operate a Skid Steer or excavator to build pools and landscaping projects.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Wear the necessary PPE and follow Safe Work Practices and Safe Job Procedures at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years experience and a clean abstract.

  • Proven ability to operate trucks and trailers while hauling equipment to/from sites.
  • Proven ability to load, unload, and secure equipment to trailers.
  • Experience operating excavators and skid steers, preferably for landscaping projects.
  • Ability to use a variety of mobile apps for record keeping, time entry, and safety paperwork.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to vehicle and equipment operation.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop or job site.
  • 2+ years of excavator and skid steer experience in landscaping or construction projects.

Work Environment: The employee is required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including cold, wind, and rain.

Schedule & Hours:

  • On-Call

  • Day Shift
  • Weekends could be included.
  • Holidays
