The Events & Café Coordinator will oversee all operations for our corporate café and assist with a variety of employee events each year. The successful candidate should be an enthusiastic professional who has an appreciation for providing outstanding customer service and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Price Way café and satellite locations.
- Put together and facilitate a monthly budget and inventory reports for the café.
- Keep the café clean and well stocked.
- Brew coffee and replace canisters (throughout the day).
- Purchase and maintain an inventory of beverage and snack items/supplies.
- Create plans and coordinate a variety of café promotions throughout the year.
- Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.
- Serve as a liaison with vendors for event-related matters.
- Assist with managing on-site production and clean-up for events as necessary. Stock boardroom fridges and ensure that the boardrooms are clean for employees and guests.
- Run regular maintenance tests, clean, and maintain all equipment in the café. Coordinate service calls as required.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
- Order and oversee distribution of promotional items.
- Close out all events as required.
- Provide weekly tour of the café to the new hire orientation group.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience in the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Handlers Certificate considered an asset or willing to be trained to obtain Food Handlers Certificate.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and work assignments.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading and speaking.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external personnel in person and by phone.
- Accomplish projects with little supervision.
- Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- The ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
