Job Summary
There are two positions available - one full time, one part time - both equally important to us.
The job's most important facet is to help us continue to provide top of the line care for the high end sport horses we have at our facility.
Both positions play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the barn, ensuring the well-being of all horses, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. This position requires experience in equine well fare, a passion for animal care in general, and the ability to take instruction and work with others.
There is an option for ON SITE HOUSING.

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily barn operations - 4 feedings a day - grain, hay, MEDICATION, and supplements.
- Picking stalls and paddocks daily.
- Ensure the health and safety of all animals by conducting regular health checks daily - checking for illness or injury.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barn facilities including common areas like tack rooms, cross ties, bathrooms, kitchen.
- Monitor inventory of supplies such as feed, bedding, and grooming tools; order supplies as needed.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in equine animal care and/or barn management.
- Knowledge of horse care practices including feeding, handling, grooming, health monitoring.
- Must be able to halter and lead a horse confidently.
- Must be able to blanket, pick hooves and boot a horse confidently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed to accommodate barn activities (although we prefer to keep a more ridget timesheet)
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff, horse owners, clients and visitors.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
