At MAD, our elevator interiors and fixtures don’t just move people — they leave lasting impressions. From polished metal panels to seamless wood and glass finishes, every detail speaks to craftsmanship, quality, and trust. As an EDM Field Technician, you’ll be the hands and mind that brings these details to life.
Whether you’re installing new interiors or replacing existing components, your precision and professionalism are what ensure our customers’ projects are completed safely, beautifully, and on time. This is a role for someone who takes pride in their tools, their work ethic, and their ability to deliver under pressure.
What You’ll Be Doing
Install or remove elevator fixtures, wall panels, ceilings, and other finishes according to project specifications.
Use a variety of hand and power tools with expert-level skill and precision.
Read plans, take accurate measurements, and follow instructions with care.
Troubleshoot unexpected field issues and find smart, on-the-spot solutions.
Work independently or under minimal guidance from the Field Operations Supervisor.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and a professional appearance on-site.
Keep records accurate and up-to-date — because details matter.
Ensure installations are damage-free and done safely the first time.
Who You Are
You’re a builder, a fixer, and a perfectionist. You know how to get things done right, and you take ownership of the finished product. You bring:
A high school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience.
At least 1 year of experience installing elevator interiors or finishes.
Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with various tools and materials.
An EDM “T” license (preferred) and/or EDM “D” license (strong asset).
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
A keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and professional attitude.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on site at customer locations.
Why This Role Matters
You’re the final step in transforming raw materials into environments people see and touch every day. Whether it's a high-rise in Toronto or a boutique hotel in Montréal, your work is what customers remember — and what we proudly stand behind.
Why Join MAD?
At MAD, we believe installation is an art, and we treat our field technicians as the skilled pros they are. You’ll get the tools, support, and respect you deserve, along with a chance to build something meaningful — every day.
