Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Program and Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is an outstanding communicator, a creative thinker who is passionate about supporting economic development, data-driven, and highly organized to manage multiple programs simultaneously. Key Responsibilities
- Program Implementation: Work closely with the Executive Director to deliver and
enhance SAEDS’ Business Retention and Expansion Program.
- Innovative Initiatives: Identify needs and opportunities in the local business community and work closely with the Executive Director to develop creative programs and support services to address them.
- Resource Connection: Act as a connector, linking businesses to relevant resources, funding, and support networks.
- Community Impact: Support initiatives that enhance the economic vitality and quality of life in Salmon Arm.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret business and economic data. Prepare detailed reports to inform decision-making and program development.
- Reporting & Administration: Track program progress, prepare reports, and assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with financial tracking, reporting, and administration for grants and economic development projects. Prepare financial summaries and reports as needed to support the Executive Director.
Marketing and Communications:
- Use creativity, design skills, and marketing knowledge to develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns that support all functions of the organization on an annual basis.
- Develop and implement an annual communications plan and digital media strategy.
- Create and distribute marketing collateral to support the programs and services of SAEDS, Zest Food Hub, and the Salmon Arm Innovation Centre.
- Manage and promote the use of the Salmon Arm “Small City, Big Ideas” brand.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key publications and media outlets to enhance organizational visibility.
- Manage and update the saeds.ca, innovatesa.ca, and zestfoodhub.ca websites, ensuring content is current and aligned with organizational goals.
- Responsible for all outbound and inbound marketing, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all platforms.
Key Qualifications
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with media and key publications.
- Marketing & Communications: Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing strategies, including targeted campaigns, digital media, and annual communications plans. Skilled in creating promotional materials and managing both digital and traditional communication channels. Experience managing websites and digital content.
- Creativity & Design: Proven ability to use creativity and design skills to develop engaging marketing collateral and campaigns that align with organizational branding and objectives.
- Brand Management: Experience managing and promoting organizational brands, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity.
- Digital Literacy: Proficiency in website management (WordPress or similar platforms), digital marketing tools, and social media strategy.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Experience in entrepreneurship, small business, or economic development considered a strong asset.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team.
- Organization: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Demonstrated proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, with the ability to prepare clear, actionable reports.
Type: Full-time, on-site (no remote option)
Location: Salmon Arm, BC
Wage: $30-35, depending on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible
