Mobile Hearing Technician
Job Description:
Workplace Medical Corp’s Mobile Hearing Testing division is offering a career as an audiometric technician/driver.
The selected candidate will be trained to operate one of our mobile units and conduct on-site hearing tests for companies whose employees are exposed to hazardous noise levels on the job.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducting hearing tests for our client’s employees.
- Safe operation of one of our mobile units.
- Communication with our clients.
- Administrative activities (scheduling, data maintenance, reporting, in office meetings and training, etc.).
- Maintaining the mobile unit & associated equipment in good working order.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday.
- Weekends as needed.
- Early mornings, late evenings, traveling and overnights.
Job Requirements:
- Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong computer skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- At least 1 year of straight truck driver experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:
- Previous experience driving a medium size truck (5-ton straight truck or 22 ft truck) or school bus.
- Previous administration or management experience.
- Previous customer relations experience.
The successful candidate will be trained and given one – on – one education to gain certification as an audiometric technician.
Experience:
- Truck Driving: 1 year (required).
- Customer Service: 2 years (required).
- Willingness to travel: 100% (preferred).
- Work Location: On the road.

- Salary: $24.00 per hour
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job.
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with others.
- Ability to write simple reports and correspondence such as pre- and post-trip inspections, accident reports, daily paperwork, etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence and instructions such as company policies and procedures, etc.
- Detail oriented and able to follow written and/or verbal instructions and to solve general problems.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
