Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and reliable dog walker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. This position is perfect for individuals who love animals and enjoy spending time outdoors. Candidate must have their own car.
Prior pet-care experience and knowledge of the Mile End, Outremont, TMR areas is an asset. Applicants living in these service areas will be prioritized.
Duties
- Commute to clients’ homes to walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise for 30 to 60 mins each.
- Maintain a safe environment for the dogs by adhering to all safety protocols and being aware of surroundings.
- Communicate effectively with manager regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that may arise during walks.
- Clean up after the dogs during walks to maintain a clean environment.
- Occasionally visit cats in their home, feeding them, brushing them, cleaning the litter, and watering plants
Skills
- Ability to handle dogs of various temperaments and sizes with confidence and care.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely walks and adherence to schedules.
- A genuine love for animals, with a basic understanding of dog behavior and body language.
- Physical stamina to walk dogs for several hours in various weather conditions.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential traits for maintaining trust with clients.

To qualify you must:
- Be a reliable, dependable adult 18 years of age and over
