We are looking for a highly motivated, upbeat person to work in our dog daycare.
The position is full time with approximately 35-40 hours a week, however we would be open to part time as well (ideally the candidate would be available in the early morning or late afternoon) and we're looking for a candidate to start in Mid August to September. Working with dogs is not easy, and we are looking for dedicated people who have a serious passion for the pets in our care.
Hours for daycare:
Monday to Friday 6:30am-5:30pm
Candidates must be able to work different shifts. Your shifts may include mornings and/or afternoons.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Feeling comfortable in a large group of dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Animal handling experience preferred
- Able to lift 50lbs.
- Comfortable with picking up bodily waste (urine, feces, vomit)
- Comfortable giving basic grooming (nail trims, baths).
There is more than just playing with puppies here. You have to be willing to clean, clean, clean! We’re looking for someone who will happily do what is asked, and do what is not asked (find and solve problems, ask questions, etc).
Compensation: Min wage to start.
