Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, and measuring food items according to recipes.
- Assist cooks and chefs in the kitchen with various tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely preparation of meals during service hours.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food handling or preparation is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
