Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Helper to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring a clean and organized work environment, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Assist bakers and front staff in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety standards to prevent contamination.
- Help with stocking supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Support the team during meal service by delivering dishes to the appropriate areas.
- Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment regularly to maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow all instructions from kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery kitchen is required
- Familiarity with food handling practices and basic kitchen operations is a plus.
- A strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- A passion for food preparation and hospitality is highly valued.
