Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. Duties
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Operate dishwashing equipment according to safety and operational guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, countertops, and food preparation areas.
- Ensure proper handling of food items in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Remove trash and recycling from work areas regularly to maintain a tidy environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
