Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly washed and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed to support cooks and kitchen staff.
- Organize clean dishes and ensure they are stored properly to maintain an orderly kitchen.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
