Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our resort restaurant's kitchen. This position ensures all dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas are cleaned, sanitized, and organized to uphold high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including floors, walls, trash, and equipment.
- Sort and place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated areas.
- Assist in basic kitchen duties as directed during peak periods.
- Remove trash and recyclables, ensuring proper disposal according to resort procedures.
- Follow all sanitation and safety policies in compliance with health and resort standards.
- Support kitchen staff and chefs to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Report any mechanical or maintenance issues with dishwashing equipment to supervisor.
- Assist in inventory of cleaning supplies and restocking as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen or hospitality setting is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle wet or slippery surfaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
