Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a role in maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the kitchen staff during peak hours by providing assistance with various tasks as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
