Overview

Incyte is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel medicines to meet serious unmet medical needs in oncology and inflammation and autoimmunity. Incyte is committed to the rigorous pursuit of research and development excellence to improve the lives of patients, make a difference in health care, and build sustainable value.

The Company strives to discover and develop first-in-class and best-in-class medicines-advancing a diverse portfolio of large and small molecules.

Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Hematology-Oncology Brand Lead to join our growing team. This individual will lead the launch and commercialization of an innovative therapy in Canada for the treatment of chronic graft-versus-host disease (GvHD)—a serious complication following allogeneic stem cell transplantation, where the donor’s immune cells attack the recipient’s body.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing integrated commercial strategies that address the needs of both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients. To ensure launch excellence, the Brand Lead will collaborate cross-functionally and engage directly with key transplant centers across Canada. To build deep market understanding and strong stakeholder relationships, the candidate is expected to spend approximately 30% of their time in the field, particularly during the first two years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive commercial strategies to support a successful product launch and drive brand performance.
  • Design and implement promotional programs and tactics across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop HCP- and patient-centric solutions informed by deep market insights and unmet needs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and external agencies.
  • Leverage insights from Commercial Analysis and Market Research to inform strategic decisions and optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including hematologists, nurses, pharmacists, and professional societies.
  • Stay current on the hematology, oncology and transplant landscape, competitive dynamics, and evolving treatment paradigms.
  • Manage brand budgets effectively and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and alignment across internal teams to ensure consistency and excellence.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing, including product launch experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Experience managing external vendors and promotional budgets.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in hematology or specialty pharmaceuticals is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Field Engagement – A Strategic Priority
To ensure a deep understanding of the stem cell transplantation ecosystem and to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, the Hematology Brand Lead is expected to spend approximately 30% of their time in the field during the first two years.

This field engagement is essential to gain firsthand insights into the clinical and operational realities of transplant centers and build credibility with key opinion leaders and institutional partners. This commitment will be instrumental in shaping a successful launch and establishing a strong foundation for long-term brand success.
