We are currently looking for a Digital Production Artist position for a maternity leave replacement (18 months). The Digital Production Artists are the creators behind the many flyers, signage, marketing materials and banners seen by consumers across the country. In this role, you will utilize your talent to generate, format and assemble electronic layouts for print and digital media. You will have the opportunity to produce interactive digital flyers, ads and signage (including video files) that help Canadian retailers reach their target consumers.
This position is responsible for overseeing digital layout of interactive media that includes determining the elements required for the page layout. You will need to determine the text, artwork, colors, and proper specs and formats to produce marketing related creative assets that are aligned with the customer’s requirements and Company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Generate an electronic layout by assembling the digital elements of the document.
- Generate required graphic elements such as artwork.
- Produce templates for graphics in collaboration with the design team.
- Ensure the project is created to specification and produce files for approval.
- Ensure visual consistency by applying brand standards across all projects;.
- Ensure that all digital artwork adheres to guidelines and technical specifications, including file size and format requirements.
- Conduct cross-browser testing to ensure compatibility and functionality across different platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to produce innovative digital assets.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree (or work experience equivalent) in digital layout and video/interactive animation
- Strong foundation in computer graphics and working knowledge of programs such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Animate, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices
- Intermediate experience in HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design
- Solid understanding of the Mac Operating System (OSX)
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Retail Graphic Layout experience an asset
- Strong problem solving skills, ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership skills, team player
