Main Job Purpose
The Digital Marketing Manager will play a key part of the Marketing & Comms team. They will create a digital marketing strategy and execute campaigns which promote Action For Humanity Canada’s brand, enhance donor growth, and increase revenue. They will work in accordance with up-to-date digital marketing tactics and approaches.
Lead on all digital marketing matters, supporting on a variety of projects, and prioritize a varied workload. You will monitor active platforms and campaigns on a day-to- day basis, provide adequate reporting and analysis, and support the team to grow and maintain the brand. You will also manage relationships with external partners, agencies and specialists.
Accountabilities
- Develop and oversee the delivery of a successful digital marketing strategy to build brand awareness and increase revenue from digital channels
- Establish and manage all digital marketing platforms including SEO, Paid Social, and Paid Search (PPC, keywords, ad groups, etc.) to achieve KPIs;
- Activate, optimise, and report on paid digital marketing campaigns;
- Measure performance of digital marketing efforts/campaigns using a variety of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.);
- Ensure the content on all web platforms deliver digital marketing objectives;
- Conduct a website audit, rebrand and redesign;
- Manage the website’s CMS and ensure content is up to date and consistent;
- Conduct market research to understand donor behaviour and identify trends;
- Ensure the user journey is lean and streamlined;
- Collaborate with in-house team of designers, videographers & photographers, editors, PR & comms professionals, etc. to create outstanding marketing content;
- Collaborate with other income generation teams, as well as global projects delivery teams, to inform a strong strategy and generate outstanding marketing content;
- Plan and coordinate a schedule of activity across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms to expand our social media audience base;
- Management and liaison of relationships with external partners and agencies;
- Plan and manage a regular schedule of email marketing activity to grow and engage our donor base, through automation and segmentation;
- Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies, and implementing best practices;
- Implementing brand guidelines and ensuring compliance in all areas of work.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.
Work Environment
- 90% indoors / office based
- 10% outdoors / travel / events / work trips etc.
Job Requirements
Education
- Degree in relevant field i.e., Marketing, Digital Marketing and/or Professional Marketing
- Professional fluency in English
Experience
- 3-5 years in a similar role (Digital Marketing)
- Experience in the voluntary/ charity sector (desirable)
- Experience in SEO/SEM, social media platforms, Google Adwords and email marketing
- Experience in using CMSs, ideally Umbraco, and all mainstream social media tools.
- Project management experience
- Experience using digital design software such as Adobe InDesign/ Photoshop/ Illustrator (desirable)
- Create and manage content marketing, social media and paid advertising strategies
Skills
- Perfect knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics.)
- Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
- In-depth knowledge of social media
- In-depth knowledge of paid social (e.g. Facebook Ads Manager)
- Understanding of advanced marketing principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Substantial experience in copywriting and editing particularly for online channels
- A good understanding of what makes a website successful and accessible
- Analytical mindset and critical thinking
Languages
- Strong written and spoken English (essential)
- French and Arabic (desirable)
