Position Overview:
As the Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, creating a warm and professional first impression. You’ll be responsible for managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, processing paperwork, and supporting the front office operations of our growing dental practice. If you enjoy interacting with people and ensuring smooth, efficient office operations, this position is a great fit for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Greet patients warmly, check them in for appointments, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage and coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling
- Customer Service: Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries, addressing questions about services, insurance, and appointments
- Patient Records: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and properly filed
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
- Payment Processing: Handle patient payments, process insurance claims, and maintain accurate financial records
- Clinic Support: Assist in keeping the front office organized, including restocking supplies and ensuring the waiting area is tidy and welcoming
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or front-office staff, preferably in a dental setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic knowledge of dental insurance and billing procedures is a plus
- Proficiency with Dentrix office software and dental practice management software is plus
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in dental office administration are a plus
