Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our NEW dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as proficiency in dental software. The Dental Assistant will ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive experience for both patients and staff.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes if required
- Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality patient care in various specialties including pediatrics and orthodontics.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Proficiency in using dental software
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are required.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all safety protocols is essential.
