Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting our dental team with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare patients for treatments by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area to adhere to safety protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently, including handling inquiries related to orthodontics or pediatrics.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications related to dental practices is advantageous.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
